Unlike other Gay Destinations, there aren't many Gay Saunas in Cape Town. The Hothouse (18 Jarvis St, Green Point; +27-21/418-3888; www.hothouse.co.za), just around the corner from all the gay clubs, is the newer more glamorous steam venue for the younger, upmarket crowd. The venue features 2 Jacuzzis, steamroom, two video lounges, a sauna, a maze, an upmarket bar and dining facility and spotless private cabins. The entry charge is R35-55 with special rates on some days. Of particular note is a sundeck affording superb views of the city.

The Glen Hotel aslo offers a stunning Sauna for Guests of the hotel and their friends. The facilities include a spacious moroccan style steam room, traditional swedish sauna, jacuzzi and relaxation area, outdoor swimming pool. The Glen can also arrange in-room massages including deep tissue, thai and therapeutic from one of their male masseuses.
